After that park, we leave the coastal area and head to the Snowy Mountains… The next days we’ll drive through these Australian Alps on our way to Lake Mungo NP.
From Queanbeyan we take the scenic drive through these mountain lands, camping along in the NP. The nights are extremely cold over there, so we are glad to have our sleeping bags and a fire pit on the grounds. The wood fire warms us up during dinner before we climb in our tents.

One night in the Koscioszko NP a fox joins us and passes a long time around the campfire and tent, hoping to find some leftovers from us.
We spend some three days in these mountain lands before we leave them and enter once again the real Outback… Up to Mungo NP.
